I'm not photogenic!
Let me stop you right there! You are not special, most of the people I met are saying that they're not photogenic, however most of them are taking selfies with their phones but they are just feeling uncomfortable in front of a professional camera. Being a photographer is my job to guide you through the process because being photogenic is simply doing the right things in front of the camera. The goal of your photo sessions is to end up with a headshot that shows an authentic, confident and approachable person. Not everyone can be all of that at first click and that is completely normal, It takes a little time and sometimes more, it also takes some easy to follow directing from the photographer, some team work, and some lighting knowledge, to get that look for your headshot. I will be your guide. It will be awesome.
What can I expect my finished headshot to look like?
My goal is to keep my style consistent for that reason I shoot on a solid background, usually dark gray and white, because it helps the photos to look modern and clean, it helps to make the subject the most important part of the photograph. I set up a lighting that helps to showcase the client in a favorable way. I will also share techniques to give your shot the impression of confidence and approachability. We want to convey high energy positive vibes while keep it authentic. We don’t want forced fake smiles. My mission is to make you look and feel like you, at your very best.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes, all headshot sessions are by appointment-only. In order to get the very best out of our time, pre-planning goes into every shoot, so you get the very best quality and value.
Do I need to leave a deposit to book a session?
Yes, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking the session , it helps me to keep an accurate studio calendar. The deposit taken is applied to the final cost of your photoshoot. At the same time, I understand that sometimes life happens and things come up that mean you can't make it and If you can notify me within 48 hours before the session and we can reschedule within 60 days, I will happily apply that deposit to your next shoot. No shows on the day forfeit the deposit.

What should I wear during the session?
Here are a couple of thoughts regarding clothes:
Have all clothes cleaned and pressed before the shoot, if possible. Pay attention to shirts which have collars that have become soft or floppy, or fit too loose around the neck. If we're going for smart casual, wear your absolute favourite clothes.
No matter what type of shoot we are doing, bring a selection of clothes to the shoot. There's no time limit on our session, we shoot until we get what we need out of the shoot, so make the most of that and bring all of your favorite outfits! In short, bring clothes that make you feel great.
Neutral or subtle colours like grey, blue, kaki, black are a good starting point. However, do not let that deter you from bringing your favorite clothes, regardless of the colour.

Hair & Makeup
A couple of thought on Makeup:
Whether you're using a makeup artist or doing your own makeup, it's a good idea to start drinking plenty of water and moisturizing your face more than usual because hydrated skin looks amazing on camera. I would highly recommend bringing a lip balm with you and a small pocket mirror.
For makeup we just want to keep it simple. When we've got a few shots in the bag, you can apply more liberally to suit your tastes.
Come with your hair ready for how you'd like it for the shoot. Again, I'd recommend keeping it simple and clean looking. A hairspray might be handy for stray hair. :-)
